When their parents die, Bianca starts to smoke and Tomas is still a virgin. The orphans explore the dangerous streets of adulthood until Bianca finds Maciste, a retired Mr. Universe, and enters his dark mansion in search of a future.

Il Futuro is a 2013 drama film directed by Alicia Scherson. Based on Roberto Bolaño''s novel Una novelita lumpen, the film stars Manuela Martelli and Rutger Hauer. The film was shot in Italy, Chile and Germany and is an Italian-Chilean-German-Spanish production.

When their parents die, Bianca and Tomás are owners of their destiny. They receive a visit from a clerk from the social security service, when she agreed to give all responsibility of their situation to the young Bianca. Both kids attended a local school, but the circumstances led them to abandon their studies: Bianca starts working as a hairdresser, and Tomás gains a position as a clerk of a local gym. Soon, the hazards of the world appeared, as two "friends" of Tomas from the gym propose Bianca to develop a secret plan to sneak into the house of a retired actor, Maciste. The orphans explore the dangerous streets of adulthood, until Bianca meets Maciste, and enters his dark mansion in search of her future.
