Homesick (Norwegian: De nærmeste) is a 2015 Norwegian drama film directed by Anne Sewitsky. It was selected to be screened in the Contemporary World Cinema section of the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival. It was one of three films shortlisted by Norway to be their submission for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film at the 88th Academy Awards, but it lost out to The Wave.

Homesick is an unusual family drama about seeking a family, and breaking every rule to be one.

When Charlotte (27) meets her half-brother Henrik (35) for the first time as an adult, it becomes an encounter without boundaries, between two people who don''t know what a normal family is. How does sibling love manifest ifself if you have never experienced it before?
